It’s Never Too Late to Play the Music You Love
Hi, I’m Brian.
They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but after 30 years of holding a guitar, I’ve learned that isn’t just wrong—it’s a missed opportunity.
I’ve spent three decades with a guitar in my hands. It’s been my constant through the years, keeping me busy when there was silence and giving me a voice when words weren’t enough. But I’ve noticed something along the way: most guitar resources are built for 15-year-olds with ten hours a day to practice.
I started this blog and my course at guitar-lessons.us for the rest of us.
Whether you’re picking up a guitar for the first time at 45 or you’re dusting off an old acoustic that’s been in the closet since your twenties, I’m here to help you bypass the fluff. I focus on the practical techniques, the gear that actually matters (you’ll rarely see me without my Dunlop Tortex picks and a Snark tuner), and the songs that made us want to play in the first place.
Based right here in Phoenix, I’m dedicated to helping adult learners realize that their best playing years aren’t behind them—they’re just beginning.
Let’s skip the “shredder” ego and get back to the music.
